I was surprised and a saddened to hear the news, and I hope that the people responsible did their homework and looked at the population stats first - we don't want to wake up in 10 years to the headline about overcrowding at Oakwood and Forest Hill etc and how the Vaughan Road corridor is desperate for a high school - especially one with great facilities (I'm assuming the gyms, sports field, auditorium, etc are still there).Hold on to your ACTAs and who knows, maybe your great grandchildren can sell them on E-Bay in 2090 and buy themselves a ticket to Mars.... Vaghan Road C.I was a great school in the 80's it was lot of fun playing ball hockey before school started and hanging around after school with the boys in the parklot and raceing up and doen Atlas with 79 trans am or the 85 mustang it was a blast. or having a smoke at the smoke stack with the guys on the football team. best of times was winning the 86 Butlers ball hockey championship with the under dogs Russian team and beating my old friend Tony M. and leo F. and his buddys stay strong buds. |
